Why one-liners matter
When visitors land on your page, they ask one question first: βIs this for me?β
A clear one-liner answers that immediately.
The simple formula
Use this sentence structure:
We help [audience] [solve problem] so they can [achieve outcome].
Example:
We help B2B consultants clarify their homepage messaging so they can book more qualified calls.
Common mistakes
- Too many adjectives, not enough clarity.
- Talking about your company before the customer problem.
- Leading with process instead of result.
Best-practice placement
Put your one-liner in:
- hero headline or subheadline
- site meta description
- service page intro
- email signature / LinkedIn headline
Final check
Read it out loud. If a client cannot repeat it after one read, simplify it.
